Guus…

Guus Hoevenaars took over Newmarket Studios early 2019 having moved to Melbourne from London where he worked with artists such as Scissor Sisters, The Pierces, Pony and Trap, HYMNS and Manfred Mann. He brings his intuition, knowledge and inspiration having worked from Trevor Horn’s Music Bank, The Holland Arms at Jools Holland’s studio and Manfred Mann’s Workhouse Studios in London and Soapbox Studios in Atlanta.

Some of the people who have come to record with Guus are Kingswood, The Rookies, Courtney Barnett, Vance Joy, Disney Goes Classical DECCA, Claps, Tones and I, Clint Wilson, TK Maizda, Young Billy Davis, Woodes, Bonnie Anderson, Dean Bryant, Kaos, Orchestra Victoria, Syzergy, Dave Wier, Grace Jean to name a few.

Founding the Newmarket Collective is a result of a vision to build a community of studio creatives, where collaboration from both sides of the glass is the focus. When red light goes on the unique Newmarket vibe and united energy is captured on tape.

Kylie…

Heading up The Newmarket Collective is Kylie Davies. She brings a zealous knowledge of concert and studio life having toured extensively throughout America and Europe. Having spent 17 years living in London and playing in some of the worlds most famous studios, she had the opportunity to work for some of the recording greats, Rosie Danvers at Wired Strings, Isobel Griffiths and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. In her 25 years as a freelance orchestral and session bassist Kylie has shared stage and studio with the likes of Sting, Beyoncé, Take That, Annie Lennox and Stevie Wonder and many more.
